The enterprise of tomorrow will need to be inclusive, transparent, socially and environmentally responsible for the common good.
Born in Montréal from a family of entrepreneurs and executive founder of Baléco, Anie launched her company without compromising her values or convictions. This led her to redefine the concept of “clean” and create a line of body and house products that are eco-responsible to promote a more sustainable lifestyle.
In 1992, she graduated from the University of Ottawa with a baccalaureate in trade and a major in Finance. She then joined Hydrocom International, the family business. Quickly elevated to the position of Vice-President, she left Quebec and decides to found Hydrocom USA in Birmingham, Alabama. Following the sale of the company, she directed the Canadian subsidiary Maclean Power Systems before becoming President of the Société de Gestion du Commensal.
Driven by new challenges, Anie’s decisions are guided by her values. Fervent fighter for local trade, she seats at the board of directors of Made In Montreal. Sensitive to the feminine and ethical governance, she acts as a mentor for young business women. She also attends gatherings aiming at valuing the spirit of entrepreneurship in Quebec.
She strongly believes that societal values of a corporation do not by any mean impede their profitability. As a result, she is now the ambassador of BCorp, giving conferences on this new business model. Schools such as HEC, UQAM and ETS often solicit her in her capacity of entrepreneur to speak about the fundamental importance of values within business management.
Mother of two children, Anie is driven by the willingness to protect future generations. Betting on innovation and eco-conception in an industry far from being preoccupied by sustainable development, she seeks with Baléco to redefine tomorrow’s business in a transparent context that respects its employees, community and environment.
I am part of HAPPY GOVDAY: The organization of tomorrow will have to be inclusive, transparent and responsible socially and environmentally for our common good.
